The chefs bring us family recipes all the way from their homeland - Lebanon. At Baklava Cafe, Suzie creates healthy cuisine like she is cooking for her family at home, and Nabil's 30 years in the business perfecting the traditional pastry techniques is apparent in the delicious sweets.
Everything is created in-house….from the aromatic dishes like hummus, shawarma, falafel, colorful salads and delicious mezze (appetizers) to the display cases filled with kenafe, baklava, mamool, cakes and much more. Be sure to enjoy some fresh-squeezed juice & fruit cocktails!

This is a family business that goes back over 100 years, beginning with pastry shops emerging in the mountains of Lebanon," says Mike Elaridi.

After supplying the large Middle Eastern commmunity in Houston with lots to satisfy their sweet tooth, the Elaridis decided to open their restaurant alongside the thier successful pastry business.
Baklava Cafe may have the largest selection of traditional Middle Eastern sweets — like baklava, kenafe and mamool – anywhere in the city. They also make cookies, French pastries, petit fours, ice cream cakes, wedding cakes and much more.
